I met Tarot expert Maralee online in 2004, shortly after my world had crashed in around me like a giant tidal wave. My husband of 15 yrs up and left me for my best friend. I was suddenly downsized from my dream job and left to try to figure out how I was going to raise 3 children on my own. He and his new wife quickly left the country to avoid making child support payments. I searched for many weeks to find a job. Broke and desperate, I took the one job offered to me but it was about half of what I'd made before. I couldn't make all the ends meet like the car or house payments and I ended up losing them both. We moved into a small apartment in a not so good part of town and I spent a whole lotta time feeling sorry for myself. I was very depressed and I felt so angry and betrayed.
One day, I was surfing and stumbled across a Tarot group that peaked my interest. I'd done some Tarot reading for friends and had gotten pretty good at it before I married Tom. The thing is he was totally against my using the cards. He called them "evil tools of the devil" and they mysteriously disappeared shortly after we wed. I joined the group and the next day I found some cheap Tarot cards at a yard sale. I thought this was a positive sign to rekindle my interest. I studied the group for a few weeks and noticed there was one person who really stood out from everyone else. It was Maralee. She was so positive, knowledgeable, kind, and helpful to everyone. She always encouraged the other members and took a genuine interest in what they were doing. I felt compelled to e-mail her but I was afraid of opening up to anyone. The next three nights I had a dream where she and I were sitting on my couch talking and laughing like we'd known each other for ages. I noticed we were reading the Tarot cards laid out on my coffee table. I took the recurring dream as a sign from above to go ahead and write her and I'm so glad I did. She wrote back and was so empathetic and caring, she even gave me many suggestions on how to improve my self esteem and outlook on life. She also gave me several special spreads for me to do and I learned so much about myself by doing them. I used her Crown of Enlightenment spread to find my true purpose. I also did her True Reflection spread to learn how others saw me and took the steps to help improve my self image so I wouldn't be sending the wrong messages anymore.
When I was worried about my oldest at school I wrote Maralee. She sent me her Don't Jump to Conclusions spread and Troubled Teen spread to do. The first spread revealed that my worries were real so I did the second spread to figure out what I could do to help the situation. I followed the advice of the cards and our relationship improved. So did Jay's schoolwork.
I did her Damned If You Do & Damned If You Don't spread to see if it was time to find a new job. After finding out it would be better for me to move on as soon as I could, I did her Career Change spread to help map out a better career for myself. A few days later, I was approached at work by a new guy who seemed very charming and really interested in me. He asked me to lunch a few times and I went. His company was very pleasant but I was still shell shocked from my ex so I decided to see if he was someone I could trust. I did Maralee's Am I Being Lied To spread and discovered the charming fellow was a complete cad but he would be helpful to me in some way. A couple weeks later I found out he was still married and in hot water for emptying the bank account he and his wife shared. He'd fled the state where they'd lived thinking he could start a new life without wrapping up the old one. I suddenly remembered in one of our lunchtime conversations he'd told me where he'd worked previously and it was a field similar to the one I'd been downsized from so on a whim, I went to their online site and applied. One week later, I had an interview with them. Two weeks later, I got a call back for a second interview and the following week I was packing to relocate. We moved into a nice apartment and my kids loved their new school.
I bought Maralee's beautiful Soul Reflections Collector's Edition and read with it exclusively. I liked my cheap deck real well but it was worn out after a few months. I knew Maralee's spreads were fantastic so it made sense her Tarot decks would be too. I was right. I love my SRCE and wouldn't part with it for anything. It is sold out but Maralee's made many other decks too so you'll be able to get one when they're published. She has at least four decks being published over the next few years.
I'm so glad Maralee's book The Ultimate Tarot Spread Guide is being published. I just know it's going to help lots of people to help themselves. I even had a recurring dream about how much others will benefit from her book. Some of the spreads are the ones she gave to me that helped change my life for the better. I even tried out her Stairway to a Loan spread the other day to see what my chances would be of getting a home loan. It was promising so I applied. Yesterday, I found out I was approved so we're finally going to have a home of our own again. I'll be using her Damned If You Do & Damned If You Don't spread again to help us find the right house.
