This is a story set in the Marauders' 4th Year at Hogwarts.
Just before the school year started, James Potter's family took a foster child into their home - Dani Delaney. Things start looking up for Dani, until a surprise attack from the Death Eaters on the day before Christmas vacation sets off a bizarre chain of events. Somehow, her life gets tangled up with that of September Snow, resident Slytherin loner.
