| Oh well, here it goes... |
| My name is Robert J. Howell (in case you are wondering it is Joseph). Please call me Rob. I am a new comer to Calgary, been here less than a year. I moved down here from the frozen north (McMurray to be exact... its ok, I'm better now!) I come from a background of Newfies (Hey I'm from McMurray, how did you not see that coming! LOL) I have relatives there still but the immediate family is mostly in Alberta. I now and for a long time consider Alberta home. I was born in Labrador City in April of 1970 (for you math wizzes out there, thats right, I'm 31) I only spent 9 years in the east before settling in McMurray. I went to Father Merc. High School (and I actually graduated.... yeah me!!) I did four years at Keyano to get my heavy duty mechanic certificate while working for Syncrude. Did a total of a ten year sentence at Syncrude before being released on good behaviour (must of had them fooled! LOL). I have since returned for a year of Keyano in 99-2000 to do my first year Computer Information Systems. Before I could go back to do the second year I felt the calling of the mountains and the south... I ended up here. I am not married (actually the whole love life thing reads like a real bad romance / Stephen King novel, and we will leave it at that!) I love to bike ride, try to ride to work every day that is nice (read into that, not raining!), rock climb, work out at the gym, cook (and with that goes hand in hand with eat), work on / build computers, music (MP3s, I love MP3s), movies, Hike, Camp, Fish, play pool, Travel, coffee with friends, and just about anything else that doesn't include being a couch potato! I have blonde hair and I am fairly tall. I try my best to keep fit and healthy but I do sneak in the odd bag of Doritos! I have grown quite a bit over the last few years, money used to be my god. I now seek fulfilment in other ways, mental and physical challenges. Material things keep seeming less and less important.
