Backed by The Litten Tree, Senior Ice hockey in Swindon has taken on a new look for the year 2000 and beyond, with the arrival of a red hot firebird to the town.
Taking over the mantle of senior ambassadors for senior hockey in the area, The SWINDON PHOENIX have already shown their intent by completing thier first half of the season in top spot in the English National Premier League.
The Phoenix have already acquired sponsorship for the new campaign from DVD+ and the Litten Tree, but they are appealing for more business's to get behind the venture.
Director Phil Jefferies said; "This season the senior hockey team in Swindon is being run by the ordinary fan and supporter of the team, we have no big company directors on the board looking to make a quick buck out of the sport. Our Aim is to make the Phoenix one of the most successful side to play out of the Link Centre for many a year, and in the process help to develop the next generation of Phoenix player through the link with the Junior team".
