Djibouti Naval Vessels
Djibouti's naval forces are focused on supporting their submarines.  U-Boats are used for both active escorting of trading vessels carrying trade to & from Djibouti, and as the point of the sword.  They represent Djibouti's main element in any sea-borne strike force.
The greyhounds of the fleet, Destroyers fulfill many roles in the Djibouti Navy.  From patrol and interdiction missions, keeping the shores of our fair country safe, to protecting cargo ships from surface, air-borne and submarine threats, the Destroyer is truly a multi-role warship!
While small in stature, the Corvette is the backbone of the coastal defence forces of Djibouti.  Specialized for escort duties, it's tremendous speed combined with it's massive anti-ship torpedo armament make it a dangerous opponent, no matter the setting.
While the Djibouti Merchant Marine is rather small at this time, it does have several proud ships that serve us everyday.  To the left you'll see our fleets replenishment ship, the Reliant.  Below that are the Thor and the Michel, a frieghter and a tanker, respectively.  All three ships have the most knowledgeable captains and ply the seas of the world trading goods and supporting Djibouti interests where ever they go.

The Pelican is a seaplane tender used in conjunction with Djibouti's PBY Catalina's for escorting convoys and offshore patrols.  The PBY's are excellent ASW aircraft and when supported by the Pelican, have nearly unlimited patroling range.
The pride of the Djibouti Navy is without a doubt, the Victorious.  Armed with 8 6" guns and numerous smaller caliber weapons, the Victorious is is incredibly good at both shore bombardment and convoy escort duties.  It's fast enough to close with less capable vessels and armored well enough to shrug off hits from everythg but a battleship.  The Victorious is truly a grand ship that will help Djibouti attain superpower status. Hopefully it will be joined soon by it's sister ships.
