I am a poet published in many journals including "Spoon River Poetry Review", "ACM", "English Journal", "Cumberland Poetry Review", "Rhino", "Slant", "Mid-America Poetry Review" and others. I am also the recipient of an Illinois Arts Council award for poetry.
I teach high school English in the Chicago area.
As a poet I have studied with Lisel Mueller, Carolyn Forche, Susan Mitchell, Heather McHugh and others. I am available for freelance editing, poetry workshops, readings, etc.
I am always looking to expand my network of fellow writers. I can also help those unsure of how to submit poetry for publication. I have many resources to share.
I am also a certified school improvement specialist who has worked extensively with the North Central Association for school accreditation.
