Mr. James A. Roscoe will be addressing us today on the topic of: "Drum Corps and
Intelligence...It's Not Just An Extracurricular Activity."
James A. Roscoe is a Human Services professional residing in
Concord, California. He holds B.S. in Psychology, an M.S. in Counseling Education, and is a
dissertation away from completing a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology. Roscoe marched in
Massachussetts' St. Mary's Annunciators, Boston Crusaders, and Renegades Drum and Bugle
Corps, which account for a total of 17 seasons of experience from 1960 to 1992. His son (18)
and daughter (15) account for an additional 17 seasons with the Blue Devils and Santa Clara
Vanguard organizations. Roscoe served as Assistant Manager for the Blue Devils "C" and "B"
corps between 1989 and 1993, and is presently serving on the Board of Directors for the Blue
Devils Drum and Bugle Corps.
