Introducing Jessie Tan.

Today we will hear from Jessie Tan, whose address is entitled "The Effect of
Modes of Presentation On The Evaluation of Marching Band By Musicians and
Nonmusicians."  Jessies address was originally presented at the Joint AARE -
NZARE 1999 Conference in Melbourne.

Jessie received her formal education at The Louisiana State University, where she
graduated in 1999 with a Masters in Music - Music Education.  Prior to that, she
attended The Florida State University, graduating in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts
Degree in Music (Hons) with a minor in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Music
Education (Hons).  She received her Certificate of Education in 1991 from the
National Institute of Education: Singapore.

Tan taught in Elementary and Secondary Schools and won Outstanding resource
teacher in 2000. She is presently a music curriculum specialist working in the
Ministry of Education, Singapore.
