Mr. Joseph L. Vala's drum corps experience spans six seasons in corps such as the
Cranford Patriots (79, 80), Hawthorne Caballeros (81, 83), Velvet Knights (85), and Sunrisers
(86) drum and bugle corps. He has served as percussion arranger, composer, and music and
show coordinator for local high schools. He has taught music part-time in Kearny, N.J. as
district percussion teacher and Assistant Band Director, and will be completing a B.A. in Music
this July. Mr. Vala is employed by Time Machine Productions in Pompton Plains, New Jersey,
where he entertains at public and private functions, and resides in Springfield, New Jersey. He
will be addressing us on RAMD today on "The Practicality of Electronics."
