Introducing Ryan Williams.

Addressing us today on the topic of "Tradition vs. Simplification:  The Debate
Over Keys" will be Ryan Williams.

Williams was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1980 and later moved to Mechanicsburg,
PA in 1989, where he eventually became involved in his school's music
programs. He played baritone for the Mechanicsburg High School marching band
for four years (the first two with undefeated seasons).  Ryan marched baritone in
DCA's Westshoremen Drum and Bugle Corps 1995-1997, (who enjoyed their
own undefeated season in 1996).

After high school, Ryan traveled to Europe with the American Music Abroad
honors band. The following fall, he moved to a staff position with
Mechanicsburg, as well as marching with the Towson University Marching Band
and the Baltimore Raven's Marching Band.  In 1999, he marched with the
Reading Buccaneer's contra section who finished solid at Finals that year.  That
Fall, Williams worked with his High School band full-time, as well as some work
early in the season with the Lebanon Catholic High School band.

In 2000, Ryan marched contra with the Bluecoats Junior Drum and Bugle Corps,
who placed in DCI's Top 12.  That Fall he became a music education major at
West Chester University, in West Chester, PA, while marching with the West
Chester University Golden Rams Marching Band and teaching the West Perry
High School Marching Band.  In 2001, Williams served as visual caption head for
the West Perry High School Band.
