About the Author.

Mr. Brandon Wilson has been involved in musical performance for over 22 years. Although he
was not introduced to the drum and bugle corps activity until shortly before his 18th birthday, he
did enjoy four years marching in DCI junior corps - three with the Concord Blue Devils B, and
one with Allegiance Elite of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In 1996, Mr. Wilson helped found the
organization that has come to be known as the Bay Area Renegades Senior Drum and Bugle
Corps, based in California's San Francisco Bay Area. He is still involved with the Renegades as
a performer and administrator.

Mr. Wilson is not a author or professional writer. He does not have impressive credentials. He
does not have a doctorate or a master degree (yet). And no, he has never won a DCI
championship at any level. What he DOES have is an undying passion for drum corps, and the
courage to say something about it. This topic - senior corps - is one that is very important to
him, so important that he has spent countless hours over the past sixteen months working with
an amazing bunch of people to bring a senior corps to California.
