This is a pretty decent CD player. It is nothing special, but it does the job.

I think it is a good player, and you are paying the £110-ish for the remote and jog dial. I wouldn't say it was the best CD player about, but it is decent and there aren't any faults I can think of that are major. It is a quick player, it has a useful remote and quite a lot of good much needed functions that can come handy when recording to MD or to cassette.

If your looking to pay a little extra I would go for a Technics, Marantz or a Philips player as they have a much crisp and clear sound and Philips invented the CD, so you can't expect anything but good things from them.

All that bad talk a-side, it is once again a good quality CD player for the price, and Sony always seem to deliver good looking products that also perform great and sound good, but I would go for a Technics or Philips.
