Pioneer CDJ 500II Ltd [13.03.2002] Back ________________________________________________________________________________ RRP = £365.00 >> [ JB's Music Store ] Pros: >> Nice and sturdy CD player, so it should last a while >> Large controls for quick and easy use >> Large illuminated display - easy to view in the dark >> Master tempo works well when between about +6% to -6% > anything out of that range doesn't sound as good >> Quite trendy, and good to look at >> You can connect 2 together for alternate play or connect them up to a Pioneer DJM500/600 (mixer) >> Big jog wheel, for finding the CUE points and pitch bending >> Nice long pitch fader (0.1% accuracy) can easily be used on its own to beatmatch without touching the jog wheel >> Loop function is seamless and can be recalled and altered on the fly, very responsive and fun. Loop a couple of bars of your favourite breakdown and use your EQ's on your mixer to add extra effects to your mixes. >> Cue a song as it is playing. >> Song starts immediately when "Play" is pressed. >> Reads CDR's EXTRA IDEA: Have the same song on both players (if you have 2) and store a different loop on each player, use your setup wisely and you could remix a song on the fly. Tricky, but good fun. Cons: >> No special effects as in other models >> You can't do any scratching >> No break effect Low Down: If you want a reliable basic CD player that is a doodle to use, with big controls, then this is the CDJ for you! |
