Stopping by a  House on a Chilly Afternoon

I wrote this poem while "Extreme Makeover--Home Edition" was working on a house in Lincoln.  I wrote it as a parody of Robert Frost's "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening."

Whose house this is all Lincoln knows
They are away in Paris though
They will not see us stopping here
To watch them film the TV show.

Nebraskans come from far and near
To lend a hand, to give a cheer
Behind the fence, all down the street
A thousand people gather here

We’re hoping for a chance to meet
Ty Pennington and maybe greet
Tracy, Preston, Paul and John
To take their picture would be sweet

The day is wonderful and fun
But I have work that must get done.
I really must be moving on.
I really must be moving on.
