La materia oscura string trio (2003)

...in sciences one can detect an object either by observing it directly or observing the effect that it has on other, more easily objects. Scientists today believe that most of the matter in the universe is dark, i.e. can not be detected from the light which it emits (or fails to emit). Dark matter (materia oscura) allows the universe to keep compact preventing it from losing its stability and plunge into chaos. Something concrete but not perceivable is then responsible for the existence, cohesion and unity of something that can be perceived. "What is the dark matter involved in artistic creation?", "What principle of organization is responsible for formal cohesion and structural coherence of an object of art?", "What is the interconnection between language and beauty?" are some of the questions I was wandering about while writing my string trio, during the summer of 2003.
