Yager, Harold W.
Born in Hankins, Sullivan County, NY,Sept. 18, 1897, son of Mr.&Mrs.William H.Yager. He received his education in public schools and attended Lowell Business College. His first experience was in the employ of Massey & Harris Company of Toronto, Canada which lasted only a short time. He then identified with his father in the wholesale business, disrtibuting merchandise throughout New York, Penna, New Jersey and Vermont. The business occupied a building of five floors on Water St.,and also with a warehouse of six floors, employing over fifty people. He was a member of the American Legion, Masons, Elks and the Binghamton Counrty Club. He married Nov. 23, 1920, Dorothy Reese, daughter of Mr.& Mrs.H.M.Reese.

Yager, William Henry
Born Callicoon Center, Sullivan county, NY, July 4, 1869, son of George J. and Catherine (Gunlach). He received his education in the public schools of Roscoe and Freemont Center, NY and began his career as a clerk in his fathers store. Three years later he accepted full charge of the store in Freemnot Center. In 1901 he sold the business and came to Binghamton, forming a co-partnership with W.W.Treyz and Anthony Manny, doing business as Treyz & Yager. The company dealt in crockery, glass, general house furnishings and with more than 10,000 items carried in stock and was the largest wholesale house in it's line between Cleveland and New York City. He was a member of the Masons, Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club. He married in 1895, Henrietta Quick of North Branch, Callcoon township, Sulivan County, NY. They had children, Harold W., Walter R. Maynard L., Arvilla L., Kennath E. and Florence E., the three sons associated with the business.

Yeomans, Charles W.
Born in Hale Eddy, Delaware County, NY, mAR. 17, 1870, aon of George M. and Frances L. (Alexander) Yeomans. He obtained his education in the district schools , graduated from Deposit Academy and Hamilton College at Clinton, NY with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He was admitted to the bar in 1901 and began his professional carrer with offices in Binghamton. He occupied a position with the State Tax Commission as tax transfer attorney. He was in the Spanish-American War in Co. H , 1st Reg. NY Vol. Inf., enlisting in 1898 and discharged Nov. 1, 1919. He was a member of the Masons. Shriners, Red Men, United Spanish War Veterans and National Checkers Association. He married in 1902, Anna M. Newlan.

Yetter, Harry Austin
Born in East Strousburg, Pa., 1872, son of John B and Caroline Yetter. His education was begun in the district schools in Craigs Meadows, Pa. and continued at the Fairview Academy, Broadsville, Pa. He attended State Nornmal at Kutztown, Pa. and graduated from Muhlenberg at Allentown, Pa. with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree. He graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Law degree and was admitted to the bar in 1895. He took up practice of law in the offices of George B.Curtis and later became a member of the firm of Wilber & Yetter, a partnership which endured for over twenty years. At this time he began practicing independently with offices in the Binghamton Press building. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Masons, Red Men, Rotary, director of Binghamton Glass Company, the Binghamton Credit Corp. and Prescott Supply. He married in 1898, Nellie Geer, daughter of John and Ella Geer. They had children, Helen who married an Ash and Marion, also a son Harry, Jr. who died in 1922.

Young, Charles E.
Born in Tioga County, NY, Nov. 23, 1870, son of Edward W. and Cynthia M. (Dennison) Young. After finishing his education in the public schools of Tioga, he began a connection with the commercial world in the engraving business in Utica, NY. At the end of that period, he took his father's trade and accepted employment with the Owego & Groton Bridge Company as a structural worker and was sent to all parts of the United States. He came to Binghamton to make this a permanent home and was employed by Lou Mann as a sign painter. He married in 1910, Elizabeth Kinsman of Elmira, NY and had one child, Edward R. born in 1913.

Z

Zimmer, Delmer S.
Born in Newark Valley, NY, Mar. 12, 1867, son of Seymour E. and Esther D. (Whittmore). His early education was obtained in the district schools and at the age of seventeen he began teaching. He entered Cortland Normal School and graduated in 1881. He was principal at Lisle Academy for the next seven years and later entered the real estate business. He was brought in close touch with construction work and for many years had done considerable amount of contracrting and building. He married in 1907, Frederike(as spelled) B. Rounds of Vestal daughter of Alfred and Harriet Rounds.
