At the Bar

Shawn was on board tending the bar again this year. Between jobs at food service establishments beneath his station, he provided the correct mixture of charm and a heavy hand on the liquor bottle to keep everyone happy.

He didn't do so well keeping people off the bar this time though. Here Lula, Queen of the Hula Krewe, makes a few extra bucks for the house.

Here Bob gets another brew while Shawn and Lynden sing acapella hits from Hee Haw.

While celebrating the proud tradition of Shrove Tuesday, we are not unaware of the Norco location the party is set in.

(Note the bar patron futilely trying to get more sustinance. Rest assured, Shawn was sternly rebuked with a Jagermeister shot for this transgression.)

Mr. Buckley, (the omnipresent entity) again oversaw the traditional apportionment of the King Cake.

It was a Tina from Lamppost who got the baby again this year. The Tina who got it last year is now engaged to be married and was a no-show for this years party.

A rather ominous precident.

Despite the intermission, things quickly went back to normal behind the bar.

Here the brain trust meets behind the rack of near-empty liquor bottles and discarded beer cups. It's good to be the king.

Sadly, as all good things, the evening had to reach the eventual and inevitable end. As the lights were shut off shortly before 3 a.m. our mascot, Sylvester, was the only one left to record our night of glory.
