Thanks to Tom Pollard s/o Ada Webb-Pollard d/o Emeline and James Webb and Jeffie D Barnes (ggg-granddaughter of James Webb) for this newpaper article.  It appeared in the Mena AR Weekly Star.
As with all newpaper articles I have looked at for this time period, this one is very explicit and graphic.
All of the Family have said that Van H Rhodes, son of George W Rhodes was killed in this accident.  My Mother, d/o George W Rhodes  was a half sister to Van H Rhodes and she has always said that her brother Vannie was killed along with her Uncle James Webb and a cousin which would have been William Webb.  Massie McCrea (McCray) whoe's hand was hurt, was the son of Martha Rhodes-McCray and William McCrey.
This report list William Rhodes killed,
father of George Rhodes who was badly bruised.  William Rodes did not show up in any census with the family past the 1870 census and my Mother had said that her grandfather William Rhodes had died when her father George W Rhodes was a little boy.  I found William Rhodes' wife, Minerva Rhodes and the younger unmarried children living with daughter Martha McCray in 1880, Emeline and James Webb 1900 and 1910 census, William Rhodes was not listed in the household.   I really feel this is a mistake made by whom ever gave the report to the newspaper by telephone.
I found Van H Rhodes age 18  in the 1910 Census living with his father George W Rhodes and no one was listed who could have been his wife or children.
I will do more research on this information, if I can find anything.
