All About Me
Hi!  My name is Margaret Hunter.  This is my 24th year of teaching.  I began my career as an itinerant teacher of primary gifted students in Wood County.  After 8 years on the road and with a Masters degree in Gifted Education, I transferred to McKinley Elementary where I taught third grade.  After a wonderful first year there I transferred to Williamstown Elementary where I have been ever since.  I have taught 2nd and 3rd grades while here.
I received my National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist in the year 2000, and I look forward to renewing my certificate by the year 2010.  I am currently working with Marshall University in their Mentoring Program for National Board Certification candidates.
I serve as the technology contact for our school, which involves disseminating state and county information about funding and technology, attending county technology meetings, training teachers in the use of technology, and technology planning.  I am constantly learning how to troubleshoot technology problems and help with school webpage design.
I consider myself to be a lifelong learner, and I believe that my job is to find the best possible ways to help all students to love learning and to develop to their full potential.
I welcome all parents and caregivers to become partners with me in your child's education this year, since it is only through such a partnership that your child will be able to access all avenues for learning and achieve the success that we both want our children to achieve.
