We went to Chalalan, a community-run ecolodge 6 hours by boat up the Tuichi river in the Amazon rainforest.  The spectacular views speak for themselves.

Getting there: first by plane from La Paz to Rurrenabaque, then 6 hours by dugout canoe to Chalalan

Many of the best wildlife sightings happened from the canoe on Chalalan Lake at dusk. Left and below: listening to howler monkeys on an early-morning hike.
