I now know quite a bit about the artist whose original painting became the above 1883 photogravure, entitled 'In the Stubble Fields'. I saw the print for sale on e-Bay by 'martin2001' of Virginia in January 2002.
The data that I do have, is now in an Albert (or Albrecht) Schenck Data Page available here and in the later Schenck data pages linked from that page.
As you probably know by now, Jim Martin's fine website of antique prints can be seen through his e-Bay store. Do drop by! And, if you can give me a source of additional data about the artist, or can provide data as to where the original painting is today located, I would truly welcome your input.
