| Fangirlism is a term Ri-chan made up. She used it when I was totally obsessed over a Japanese singer and actor, Matsumoto Jun. Fangirlism: when a girl becomes obsessed or extremely excited over a person or a group, in result, she becomes a fangirl. It's pretty much the same thing as obsession, but fangirlism is directed towards girls who are obsessed over another person or groups of people--usually those who are cute/hot/talented male celebrities. **This term can also be changed to "fanboyism" for guys who are obsessed over female celebrities, or rarely, even male celebrities.** How do you know if you have fangirlism? Symptoms include: drooling (whether really drooling or not); thinking or pretedning that you're married/dating to the subject; make random and strange noises--such as squealing--when the subject is talked about or seen (in person or through a picture); fainting; show aggressive behavior when trying to defend the subject; quarreling with other fans or with friends over the subject; constantly talk/write about the subject; daydream about the subject; learning the native language that the subject speaks to understand what they say/sing/or to communicate with the subject; search for more information about the subject; read fanfictions about the subject WARNING: THIS DISEASE CAN BE CONTRACTED WHEN EXPOSED TO CUTE/HOT/TALENTED MALE CELEBRITIES!!!! |
