| True Love Conquers All - Chapter 27and 28 JC: So what did you want to talk to us about? Jocelyn: It's mainly me. I'm worried about what is going to happen when Justin and I get married. I mean...where are we going to live? Justin's life is here, but my life is in Wichita. I'm kinda torn. Chris: I understand that that is going to be hard. What do we have to do with your decision though? Jocelyn: I care what you all think and you're a big part of me and Justin's life. JC: I guess we all just figured that you'd be moving down here. Jocelyn: In a way, I want to and in a way I don't. I like the idea of getting out of Kansas, but then again, all my friends are there. The thing about moving to Wichita that won't work is that I don't want Justin to be up there while all of you are in Orlando. That won't work at all. JC: Well I'm up for moving to Wichita! ::grins:: Jocelyn: You just want to be closer to Jen! JC: So! ::smiles:: Joey: I'll move to Wichita...and I don't have an alterior motive! ::smiles:: Lance: I'll move. ::Everyone looks at Chris:: Chris: Hmmm....tornado alley or hurricane alley....I'll move too! ::smiles:: Jocelyn: Are ya'll sure? That wasn't my intention of coming down here at all. I just wanted some help deciding. Oh yeah, we also wanted to tell ya'll something... Joey: You already told us that you were getting married, what else could there be? Justin: We're having a baby! JC: Oh my god! Are you serious? That's great! Chris: Oh my! That's awesome! Lance: Congratulations. ::They all hug Jocelyn and (exactly like what you would expect from guys) high fived Justin:: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So it was decided. All 5 guys would be moving wo Wichita, before they got married. The next few months were spent finding homes for everyone. JC and Chris decided to buy homes near town. Joey started having a house built near town and Lance and Justin and Jocelyn built houses out in the country. Justin and Jocelyn bought a 20 acre piece of land and designed their own home, which would be finished in May. Since JC and Chris had already bought their homes, they all decided to go ahead and move to Wichita. Lance moved in with JC, Justin moved in with Joey, and Jocelyn stayed living with her parents. Jocelyn decided to take time off and finish the last semester of her senior year actually going to school. The only thing that she really had scheduled was a hour long special on MTV. It was live on January 22nd. For this show, Jocelyn had on a yellow Tommy shirt and Tommy overalls. She was trying to cover her growing stomach but it wasn't working. When Jocelyn showed up at the studio, the whole MTV crew noticed it the first thing. Since she hadn't been out in the public eye for a while, everyone was shocked to see that she was pregnant. Even more shocked were the fans in the audience when Carson introduced her to come out. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Carson: Well I guess the first question would have to be what's on everyone's mind. Are you...uh... Jocelyn: Yes, I'm pregnant. Audience Member: I've also heard rumors about you and Justin getting married. Are they true? Jocelyn: They're true. He proposed to me in September and we're getting married at the beginning of June, right after I graduate. Carson: There is something special that one of your fans wanted to say. Audience Member: First of all, I would just like to say congratulations to you and Justin. Jocelyn: Thanks! Thank you for sending this out and thnak you to everyone who signed it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The rest of the show went great and as soon as she went home, her and Justin spent the rest of te night writing a thank you letter and sending it to everyone on the list. The rest of her senior year went great. She had straight A's the whole time she was there and ended up being Queen of Courts homecoming queen. Graduation would be on May 25th and all the guys planned to attend, as did all their parents. On May 22nd, while Jocelyn was moving a few of her things into their new house, she started feeling pains...she was having contractions. Not knowing exactly what to do, she called Justin. He said that he was on his way, but he was clear accross town, so he called Lance, who only lived a couple of miles away, to come over. Lance was there in a couple of minutes and decided that it was probably time to get her to the hospital. As they were getting in the car, Justin flew in the driveway (and I mean, he FLEW!) He jumped in the back of Jocelyn's Durango with her and Lance drove to the hospital. When they got there, they took Jocelyn straight into the delivery room and Justin went with her. Lance stayed in the waiting room and called all the guys, her friends and her family. Soon, her parents, Josh, Joey, JC, Chris, and her grandparents were there. Jocelyn was in the delivery room for quite a while, but after she had the baby, they put her in her own room and took the baby to get him cleaned up. Dakota Raye Timberlake was born at 1:55 am on May 22, 2002 at Wesley Hospital. Justin and Jocelyn were two of the proudest parents. They were able to take him home the next day but he would be staying with Jocelyn at her parent's house until after they got married in June. MTV caught wind of the news and immediately brought a camera crew out to see the baby. They had the new family featured on MTV News 1515 that Friday. A lot of reporters called, but Justin and Jocelyn decided to not take any calls for a while. The 23rd, 24th and early on the 25th was spent decorating the baby's room in hockey designs. The room was blue with hockey sticks around the border in the middle and hockey pucks around the top border. There were many hockey items up around the room, a few of which were Jocelyn's when she was younger. The drawers were full of some of the cutest baby clothes you've ever seen. Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, The Gap, Old Navy, Stucture, and FuMan Skeeto (Chris' company) all gave Dakota some cute outfits. Jocelyn also bought him a cute jumper from the Wichita Thunder hockey game (their hometown minor-league hockey team). He was all set. The night of the 25th was Jocelyn's graduation night. All the guys' parents had came in town and all Jocelyn's family were all coming to the graduation. Justin had put a pair of khakis and a yellow Tommy shirt on Dakota. When it was time for Jocelyn to walk across the stage, she became very nervous. She had accomplished soo much in her life and she wasn't even 18 yet. Everyone that had been there for her those past 3 years were int he auditorium tonight. As they called her name, everyone in the auditorium clapped and yelled! It was the greatest feeling. After graduation, Jocelyn was throwing a party at her and Justin's house. Everyone that came to graduation for her long night and Jocelyn was very happy to sleep (she had been worn out lately from the baby). On the 28th of May, Justin and Jocelyn took Dakota to his first hockey game. The Wichita Thunder (their hometown team) was taking on the Memphis Riverkings in the 7th game of the Central Hockey League Championship. Jocelyn loved hockey soo much that she decided that she wanted Dakota to experience it and only time would tell whether he would like it or not. That night Jocelyn ran into soo many people that she hadn't seen in a long time. Everyone wanted to see the baby (now only 6 days old) and wanted to see how everything was going with the soon to be newlyweds. The night was a blast and the Wichita Thunder won the championship. The next day was Jocelyn's 18th birthday and Justin decided to suprise her and take her to a NHL hockey game. She still had never been to one and it was something that she always dreamed of. That night, they saw the Colorado Avalanche take on the Chicago Blackhawks in Denver, CO. They flew to the arena a few hours before the game (Justin had set it up for Jocelyn to meet all the hockey players and get pictures and autographs) and flew back right after the game (they had left Dakota with JC). The next couple of days were completely packed with wedding preperation. On the day of the wedding (June 1, 2002), people came from everywhere to attend. All of the celebrities that were friends of Jocelyn and Justin's were coming to the wedding, as were all their family and friends. They had the wedding at the biggest church in Wichita. The groom and his groomsmen were wearing the traditional black tuxes. Jocelyn's bridesmaids had on baby blue dresses outlined in baby yellow. (Baby blue and baby yellow were the wedding colors.) Everyone was escorted to their seats by the ushers (Josh...Jocelyn's brother, Steven...Joey's brother, Joseph and Chris...Jocelyn's cousins and dancers). When everyone was seated, the ceremony started. First was the flower girl (Justin's cousin) and the ring bearer (Justin's brother). Then was Jocelyn's mom (Kathy) pushing Dakota's stroller (which was covered in white lace). Then the main wedding party came out. Britney was walking with Lance, Shanna with JC, Anna with Joey and Kara with Chris. (Justin was already standing up front.) Then the music started and Jocelyn came out. The dress was gorgeous and so was she. During the ceremony, Justin sang a song he had written for Jocelyn, she sang on she had written for him, the guys sang on for Justin and Jocelyn, as did Britney. The entire ceremony lasted about a hour and a half and when it was over, they were officially introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Justin Timberlake. The reception was held at the ballroom of the Hyatt. Everyone showed up to have a great time. The customary first dance was to 98 Degrees' "I Do (Cherish You)" which was performed live. They decided not to open presents that night since there were soo many. The party lasted wellinto the next morning and then Jocelyn and Justin headed to their house. They had decided not to go on a honeymoon because they didn't want to leave Dakota for that long. He would, however, be staying with JC on their wedding night. Their life together had begun.... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn went on to sell more albums than any female artist ever. Besides her success in music, she was also a successful model and actress. 'N Sync stayed together as a group for 7 more years, but since they were all married and had families, some of them decided to move onto solo careers. Justin, JC and Joey started solor careers while Chris and Lance concentrated on other things. Lance's record label for country artists became very successful and Chris' clothing line was HUGE! Chris also starred in a couple of movies. JC and Jennifer got married on March 10, 2003. Josh and Britney were married on September 7, 2003. Lance was married to Tatyana Ali in February of 2004. Justin and Jocelyn's second baby was born on October 17, 2004. They named her Dudley LeNae. Joey was married to Katie Holmes in late 2004. Chris actually married a Tommy Hilfiger model in January 2005. All the guys were finally married off. :) Justin and Jocelyn had not pushed their children into going into music at all. They encouraged them to do whatever they wanted to do. Dakota loved hockey! He played as soon as he could walk, basically. Dakota made quite a name for himself in the NHL. Dudley went on to become a singer, almost beating Jocelyn's record as the youngest female artist to have a number one single and a number one album at the same time. She missed her record by less than 4 months. After everything that Justin and Jocelyn went through, they were able to come out with a happy life.
