| This picture, done in August of 2000, was a tribute to my friend Mark. I had known him for 7 years. He was killed back in 1996 when he was accidently shot by his co-worker/best friend, while working as a security guard for Mira Loma jail. I made this picture for his mother, Mary. This is just how I remember him. Supplies used: Pencil (light, medium, & dark), and blending sticks Time: approx. 1 hour, 45 mins. (one of my fastest portraits). |
