Mariette Fisher was born in the Netherlands, and began piano studies at an early age.  At thirteen, her exceptional musical talents were discovered by the famous French concert pianist, Robert Casadesus.  On his recommendation, she continued her studies in Paris where she received a scholarship from the French government and studied under the tutelage of the renowned piano virtuoso, Vlado Perlemutter.

   

Subsequently, she won the Silver Medal at the Music Competition in Vercelli, Italy, the Diplome d’Honneur at the Maria Canals Festival in Barcelona, Spain, and the Silver Medal with Distinction at the Concours International d’Execution Musicale in Geneve, Switzerland.

   

Mariette has appeared on television and on the concert stage, and also produced the program, “Musical Journeys”, an exploration of different periods of classical music which she narrated and illustrated as piano soloist.
