Assembly Hall in Daytona Florida

My husband and I were very impressed with the new Daytona Assembly Hall when we visited this year (October of 1999). All the plants were donated and the beautiful mural in the entry way was painted by a visiting brother from Germany. It all brings out the Florida experience beautifully.

Main Entrance

Amazingly the mural has no "frame". What seems to be columns are also painted as part of the mural.

Not quite a panorama shot, but you get the idea.

This group of palms looked like they had died, but like a "resurrection" they came back nice and full.

The bridge is made of aluminum and looks so much like bamboo that you have to touch it to tell the difference.

The nice "rock" in the foreground was constructed by the brothers using, of all things, an old tire.  Looks so natural doesn't it?
