This field course is designed to encourage participants to bring learned skills from the classroom or the sea in the application of the practical environment. Participants who are not already SCUBA certified for Open Water, will need to arrange for certification either prior to the commencement of the course in Thailand or during the first week of the course. Week #1
Day #1- Pick up students in Bangkok/Travel to National Park area by train.
Day #2- Park orientation (sea and land area).
Day #3- Survey techniques/ Diving review.
Day #5- Surveying/ Diving. Evening lecture on park management.
Day #6- Individual talks by students on there choosen subjects. Break up into interest groups for project preparation
Day #7- Recreational diving and prepare for week 2 project. Groups will decide on topic and goal proposals
Week #2
Day #8- Travel to second marine park area.
Day #9- Free day.
Day #10- Project.
Day #11- Project.
Day #12- Project.
Day #13- Show findings of project undertaken.
Day#14- Return to Bangkok.
