The Coastal Pursuits course is aimed at university students, graduates, divers, professionals, and anyone interested in marine conservation. The purpose of the course is to discuss marine conservation and coastal management by way of underwater practicals. The majority of the course will be spent in groups working on a group project that will compile mapped underwater regions and surveys. The collection of underwater data is extremely vital to all aspects of marine environmental research. The compilation of underwater analyses allows managers, scientists and students to include marine data in an integrated approach towards better management of oceanic resources. |
