Basic Information: Sword Fights are a variation of my server in which there are no weapons except for melee objects such as swords, batons, knifes, crowbars, etc. When we are sword fighting, I will make a large rectangular boxed-in area, which I call a ring, and it is in this ring that the combatants fight. Generally, it’s only 2 people inside the ring at a time, but some exceptions can be made. You should know that I only allow 5-7 people in the server at a time in order to reduce the amount of lag. We cannot play if the frame rate is half of what it usually is… so….If you don’t want to sword fight, or you don’t want to fight but just watch, LEAVE! Other people may be waiting for you to leave so they can join and have Sword Fights.

Rules For Sword Fights: Firstly, DO NOT KILL UNLESS YOU’RE IN THE RING! In other words, so not run around killing spectators, or you will die yourself! I have the ability to just look at you and press a button then you’re dead. OK? Don’t screw around.

Secondly, Stay out of the ring unless you want to fight. If you jump into the ring first, you’ll be the next combatant. If you interfere with the match, I will kill you instantly and this will be a warning. If you continue to annoy people, you will be kick/banned. If you happen to fall into the ring, get out as soon as possible. I can forgive mistakes, but like I said: Don’t screw around!

Third, these are the rules of starting a match: When the 2 players have the SAME weapon in their hands, and I can plainly see they are ready to fight, I will drop a cat into the ring. The moment you hear the cat die, the fight will start. (I can kill the cat at a push of a button and it’s meow can be heard by all. It’s better than counting down… lol) I will not drop the cat unless both players have choosen a weapon and have it out. THEY MUST be the same weapon or the fight will not start. (You don’t want to fight someone when they have a Dragon’s Tooth and you have a normal sword, right?) When all is ready, the cat will be dropped and when it dies, the match has begun.

Fourth: Do not use medkits. The only time you can heal yourself is BEFORE and AFTER a battle. If you lose your legs in battle, I guess you’re pretty much screwed. Just don’t use medkits during battle. I may have a med bot or med kits in or outside the ring for use when you might need it.

If you want any variations on the rules, ask and I will see if everyone agrees and we may be able to change the rules for a particular battle.

Oh, and one more thing: Please don't use Dragon Tooths all the time! The fight is over with one or two hits! How boring! Use a combat knife!

Update: Here at my server, we (meaning a couple of the other admins and I) have made an insanely fun scenario in which we simply get rid of all the weapons except the Dragon Tooth Sword. I cannot explain why this is so fun, it just is. If anything, I think the DTS is underused in the Multiplayer, so I made this game just for it. There are no real rules for this, just grab a weapon and start killing. This is level wide, so it is a bit better. If you've never played it and want to try it, ask the admins or myself to setup a game. It also is excellent for killing lag :D
