W6 Composition exercise

Please write a composition about an event or holiday. The title can be anything. See Drill 8 on p.143 and answer all the questions in your composition and try including time expressions and adjectives. My composition is below. I used some words and grammar points that you haven’t learned in class. I also put an English version below, but please read the Japanese language version first. (You may use any kind of paper to write your composition.)

ジェイクしまぶくろの　コンサート

きのう　ごご10じから　オークランドの　ヨシズバーで、ジェイクしまぶくろの　コンサートが　ありました。ジェイクしまぶくろは　ハワイの　ウクレレそうしゃです。ともだちの　ふみさんは　ジェイクの　*ねっきょうてきな　ファンです。ルームメートが　ふみさんと　くるまで　そうこうがくえんへ　きました。わたしたちは　9じ50ぷんごろに　ヨシズバーへ　いきました。かれは　ウクレレが　じょうずです。それに　とても　いいひとです。コンサートは　たのしかったです。とくに　レッツダンス　という　きょくが　*かっこよかったです。それに　ジェイクの　トークが　おもしろかったです。でも、たべものは　おいしくなかったです。わたしたちは　よるの1時ごろに　うちへ　かえりました。また　ジェイクしまぶくろの　コンサートに　いきたいです。

There was Jake Shimabukuro’s concert at Yoshi’s bar in Oakland at 10 p.m. yesterday. He is a ukulele player in Hawaii. My friend, Fumi, is an enthusiastic fan of his. My roommate and Fumi came to Soko Gakuen by car. We went to Yoshi’s bar around 9:50. He is good at ukulele, and he is a very nice person. The concert was enjoyable. Especially, a song called “Let’s dance” was cool. In addition to that, his talk was interesting. However, the food was not tasty. We went back home around 1 a.m. I’d like to go to his concert again.
