☆Please write a recipe that you want to introduce to your Japanese friends, using ~て~.  Usually, we use a dictionary (base)-form verb at the end of a sentence in Japanese recipes.  The following one is a recipe of okonomiyaki, my local (Osakan) food.

(Alternative homework: Write a short diary.  Write 5 or more sentences, using ~て~.  )

Okonomiyaki (for 6 pieces)

A—2C flour, 1C water, bonito & seaweed broth, salt

       Nagaimo root, 6 eggs

B—1 cabbege, green onions, tenkasu (small pieces of tempra), sticky rice

      Thinly sliced pork

C—Okonomiyaki sauce (my favorite sauce is “Otafuku sauce”), mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard

Mix A in a bowl.  Grate nagaimo root.  Add it to the bowl and mix it.

Cut a cabbage and green onions into small pieces.  Cut mochi (sticky rice) into 1cm squares.

Put cabbage, green onions, mochi, and tenkasu in the bowl and mix them.

Cook on a low to medium heat.  Put a little oil on a pan and pork in a pan.

Take 1/6 of the dough in a smaller bowl, add an egg to it and mix it.

Put the mixture on the pork.

Put a lid on the pan.  When the bottom becomes golden brown, turn it over.  (When it’s cooked well inside, it’s done!)

Mix C and put it on okonomiyaki.

Thinly sliced dried bonito and sea weed can be topping (your preference).

☆“Okonomi” means your preference.  You can put anything in the dough (cheese, seafood etc.)  This is Osakan recipe.  Hiroshima is also famous for okonomiyaki.  They sandwich fried noodles with dough.
