About Me...
I, Mark, was born in St. Louis at Deaconess Hospital on March 27, 1973. I went to the Affton School District from K-12th Grade. I Graduated from Affton Senior High School in June 1991.
From High School, I went to Meramec Community College for 3 years (Fall 1991-Spring 1994). While at Meramec, I concentrated in Spanish, since it was going to be my Major course of Study. After Meramec, I transferred to Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO). At SEMO, the Spanish Major didn't pan out, and in May 1999, I Graduated with a Major in General Studies.
I am 6'3" tall and 215lbs. I have Hazel eyes and short Brown hair. You can see what I look like here. I am a gay male that came out April 17th, 1998. Friends tell me that they can tell if I can in a Good or Bad mood by my Eye Color... (I still have to be told what color is Good, and Bad... I don't know myself...)

Travels...
Spring Break 1993, I had the opportunity to go to Mexico, more specifically, Mexico City, Mexico and stayed at the Hotel San Francisco. I went to Mexico with the Professor that I had at Meramec, Prof. Smith, who is a Great Guy and friend that I still keep in contact.
I was in South Carolina to visit my Best Friend, Vincent Hilker. We have been friends since Freshmen year High School. Vince was in the Army at Fort Jackson, SC for Basic Training. Later, when he was discharged form the Army, I drove from St. Louis to Fort Hood, TX (just south of Waco) - not recommended to make the trip in 1 day like I did....
I have also been to San Francisco, CA. My sister, Tamara, had the opportunity to attend Stanford University, and Jumped at the Chance. San Francisco is a Beautiful City, and you will fall in love with the city very quickly!

Family...
My Mother, now Florence I Ahrens, was Born in 1942 to Fredric and Florence Schmitz. My Mother also attended the Affton School District, and Graduated in 1960.
My Father, Harvey H. Ahrens, was born to Anna and Arvel Ahrens in 1939. He attended and Graduated from Hadley High School in 1959.
Tamara Ahrens, The Greatest Sister, was born on July 2, 1971. She, like my Mother, attended the Affton School District; where in June 1989, she Graduated Valedictorian of her Class. She had the opportunity to attend the University of Missouri Rolla with a Full Scholarship, which she turned down when another Institution Accepted her Application. Stanford was her Dream at the time, and didn't think that she would actually be accepted. She has since Graduated with her Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, her Masters, and finally her Doctorate. She is now Teaching Electrical Engineering at San Jose State University in California.

Likes and Dislikes:

Likes:
I Like / Love the car I was driving, my Grandpa's 1966 Chevy Chevelle - even with it's problems it's still in my book as #1! Unfortunately, I couldn't keep it, so it was sold. :(
I like to Travel. Either by Car, or Air, it really doesn't matter. Flying if my preferred mode of Transportation.
Computers were something that Grabbed my attention and didn't let go. My first Computer used the TV as a monitor - truly archaic!
The Outdoors. I like to go to the park, hike, go caving, canoeing, camping. I'd like to go for a week-long camping trip somewhere. That would be Great!
Dislikes:
Isolation. To feel isolated, that irritates me to no end.
Orders. I like someone to ask me rather then tell me to do something.
Being used by people - I'm not anyone's slave!
