Mark's 2005 Photo Album - Baseball!
OK, so this season didn't quite bring the thrills of last year for this California Red Sox (and casual A's / Giants) fan.  The A's took us on an emotional bad/good/bad rollercoaster, coming up just short of the playoffs, the Giants were just plain awful, and my beloved Sox made a
valiant effort in spite of numerous injuries, but got whipped by the 'other' Sox in the first round (who went on to break their own 80+ year champoinship drought).  Wait 'till next year!
Nevertheless, there was plenty of national pastime to enjoy for me this year.  I made it to Fenway in May (thanks to my dad's inside connections) and saw the 2004 banner (above right), I attended several A's games (something you can decide to do at the last minute), Laura and I watched the new Washington Nationals give the Giants a 9-3 trouncing (below right)...
Alas, not my license plate.  I wish it were.

... and we also saw the Sox beat the Angels 4-3 in 10 innings on our trip to LA!  With the bases loaded and one out, Manny Ramirez heriocally drove in the winning run with a dribbler to third that wasn't hit hard enough to be a double play.  Hey, you take 'em where you get 'em!
