The Monterey Bay Aquarium is right up there with Baltimore and New England in must-go-territory. In some ways, it's even better - it's got a much lighter and airier feel than those other two, and its layout makes it less prone to overcrowding (I think). |

We spent the morning there, gazing at fish and otters and penguins (including the one on the right), then had fresh seafood for lunch and took in a lighthouse in Pacific Grove before heading back home. |
