Of course, there's more to Yosemite than just Half Dome. Laura and Gareth's girlfriend Jasmine, who had opted for a more sane 7 mile hike, showed us how great they were by having a warm fire ready when we got back to the campsite. We toasted some marshmallows, froze our butts off that night, and then had a mellower Sunday, visiting Bridalveil falls (left - and my favorite picture of me and Laura to date), and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias (below, Gareth and Jasmine in front of the "Grizzly Giant"). And we've barely scratched the surface of this National Park - I guess we'll just have to go back someday... |
