No, this isn’t a page about interior design, as somehow I don’t see myself as Lawrence Llewenen Bowen….However people (mainly Mark) have been pestering or encouraging me to post up something about my writing and so this is it.
So what is the above quote about? It’s from a book that I’ve recently read and it will be expanded, but it’s basically a humorous (I mean come on, who can take anyone seriously with a name like Gertrude – reminds me of gherkin!) statement showing how mysterious and enriched life becomes when you discover good art (notice the good in that last statement Mark so I’m afraid animes are excluded!)
I thought I’d put up that explanatory paragraph to explain why, well according to most people, I’m always reading – not to escape from life, but to enrich my living - this may explain to Mark and David why I'm constantly nagging about seeing the world and 'getting out there!'.
Recently , I started writing – normally out of sheer frustration as you’ll see by this first passage that I’m going to put on. How (and if) I develop these pages and the book depends on how good or bad the response is! Putting up my writing is extremely scary as I don't know how people will react, its like walking naked in front of an audience.

This is where it all began...when we were in Scarborough and Andy and Matt were asleep, I read this book, 'A Pair of Blue Eyes' by Thomas Hardy all the way through the night.
Its descriptions were so vivid especially when you had these pictures to look at, that it inspired me to go and sit on a beach and write. A mixture of pathetic, weird and inspired!
