SOLO 2: Going to School
"For the afternoon session, I'm paired up with ace Neon driver MARK DARBY(Oregon Region D Stock Champ for the last 3 years). Once again, we make a baseline run. MARK'S pretty pleased with how I'm getting around the rest of the course, but he can see that I still haven't got the right rythm in the slaloms. We make a few more runs as he tries to convey with words something that is really tough to convey with words. Finally, I nail the second of the two slaloms,staying ahead of the car and not getting behind in my steering. MARK is hootin' and hollering as we cross the finish line with my best time so far.
