Miscellaneous: Antiques & Collectibles, and the Lottery!
I shall be blunt. Unless you have the luck of the Irish on your side, don't bet your lucky charms on finding a million dollar antique or collectible!
BUT I don't want to discourage you. If you truly believe in what you do, then by all means go ahead. I'm just saying, you won't find a Van Gogh in a garbage bin. Although one man did find the original Bill of Rights in a $2 painting. Alas this is an unusual case. You were only given the romantic part of the story. That's one man out of 6 billion people...YIKES!
The Lottery is even harder to win than finding a valuable collectable. Simply put, you can't win. The odds are stacked against you. And no, there is no way of increasing your odds (unless you cheat of course). Buying lottery tickets isn't so bad, the profit does go toward some profitable organizations. Generally though, you can't count on the lottery to bring home the bacon. People often think, what if my numbers come? If they did? Then it wasn't your luck then. If you were to win, you would have one. It's as plain as that. I once had a subscription to Lottery Advance. That is, where prepurchase all of your numbes in advance. I spent more the $150. I didn't even get ten dollars. What a waste! Anyways, don't give yourself false hope. You can't win! Unless you're really, really, really, really, really, really, really lucky. On the other hand if it gives you a bit of hope for the day, why not?
I bought this rocket using my lottery money! Off to the moon!
