THE FIRST STEP TO BECOMING FINANCIALLY FREE...(drum roll please)
Education! What!? No really, education. But you say to yourself, "I already went to school then how come I'm not Rich?!" When I say education I'm talking about financial education. This is something that is not taught in school. To become financially free or rich, whatever it may be, you have to become financially literate. School is great, but it don't teach you about money! Then WHAT DO YOU DO? Read a book! Books are your greatest resource for information. Unlike Television, books are condensed with facts and info. Not only that but you can pace yourself and learn at your own level. It may seem boring, but this is something you must do. Books can be expensive. BUT you can always go to the library. It's free! Don't make any excuses! Scan the shelves and pick up something good! If you don't know what to read, here is a list of books that I have read and highly recommend.
[In no particular order]
1. Rich Dad, Poor Dad by
Robert T. Kiyosaki
2. The Buffetology Work Book by
Mary Buffet
3. More Wealth Without Risk by
Charles J. Givens
4. How to Build a Million Dollar Fortune by
Tyler G. Hicks
5. Personal Financing for Dummies by Eric Tyson
You can do it! (That's my picture ;)
What's it about?

1. This is one of my favourite books. It helps you open your mind to new ideas and really gets you thinking! Robert T. Kiyosaki is a real estate enthusiast. In this book he gives you the basics of how to become wealthy, the safe way.

2. Hands down, this is one of the best books on stocks. It's simple and effective. It shows you different formulas for evaluating stocks and it tells you how and what to buy. This book, is based on the sound strategy of Warren Buffet, a long term investment strategy.

3. A reference book for saving money. It's full of tips and strategies which everday people can use; A collection of adages and common sense practices for money.

4. Tyler G. Hicks takes you step by step and shows you how to make money by doing what you love. You can get started in 14 days or less!

5. This will give you the basics of financing, from getting out of debt, to investing.
I assume you understand now, that to become rich you have to become financially literate. I.e. you must read books (paper or audio) to educate yourself.
If you want to get started quickly I recommend that you read at least one book a week. If you can't, then at least one book every two weeks. And if you can't do that, then at least one book a month. Just read! If you don't like reading, you can always get the book in audio format. Usually the books are abridged, but don't worry, they should still give good advice. But be careful, every books recommends different things. You must disect your collectivee knowledge to your situation and see what best suits you. If you don't read anything soon, at least read everything on my site!
