Who am I? My name is Mark Jordahl.I am a naturalist and environmental educator who was lucky enough to spend a year in Uganda while finishing my Masters Degree in Conservation Education from Prescott College. In my "real life" I am the Adult Programs Director at Wilderness Awareness School. While in Uganda, I learned more than I ever could have imagined, and fell in love with the people, the wildlife and the landscape. I have created this website in the hopes that the work I did will benefit Uganda and anyone who chooses to learn the lessons it has to teach. I will be continuing to add to this site - pictures, reflections, links, documents, and anything else that seems relevant. The work I did was specifically focused on Murchison Falls National Park, but I believe that many of the lessons I learned apply to conservation throughout the African continent. Enjoy, and feel free to e-mail me with suggestion or feedback. |
