MARK McGUINN'S "THAT'S A PLAN" BOWS JUNE 25

Singer Will Appear On Awards Show, Grand Ole Opry During Fan Fair

    NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 12, 2001 - Look to see Mark McGuinn just about
everywhere in the days leading up to the launch of his second single.
"That's A Plan," the successor to McGuinn's wildly popular "Mrs. Steven
Rudy," has an airplay date of June 25. Several major radio stations,
however, are already programming the song from the VFR Records artist's
recently released album, Mark McGuinn.

    On Wednesday, June 13, McGuinn will appear as a presenter on the
nationally televised "TNN & CMT/Country Weekly Music Awards," the
star-powered event that kicks off Fan Fair. The following day, the singer
will be a guest performer at Lonestar's fan club party. McGuinn will make
his Grand Ole Opry debut on Friday, June 15, and return for a second
performance on Saturday evening.

    Nancy Tunick, VFR's director of national promotion, reports that WRBQ in
Tampa was the first reporting station to begin playing "That's A Plan". In
its first week out, the song shot to the station's sixth most-requested slot.
Other prominent stations playing "That's A Plan" include KSKS in Fresno,
KSOP in Salt Lake City and KBEQ in Kansas City, MO.

    The video for "That's A Plan" is included in digital format on the "Mrs.
Steven Rudy" commercial single which captured the No.1 Billboard Single Sales
chart for four consecutive weeks.

    On May 31, Music Row magazine honored McGuinn with its annual Critics'
Pick award.

MARK MCGUINN JOINS LONESTAR ONSTAGE DURING FAN FAIR
FAN CLUB BASH

    NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 15, 2001 - Hitmaker Mark McGuinn surprised a
packed house at the Wildhorse Saloon when he joined Lonestar to perform
"Unusually Unusual," from that group's new CD, Thursday, June 14. McGuinn,
who composed the song, performed it as a duet with frontman Ritchie McDonald
during Lonestar's Official Fan Club party.

    Afterwards, the band's leader informed the crowd and McGuinn that he
wouldn't get away without singing his recent hit "Mrs. Steven Rudy." Ritchie
then proceeded to engage his roller skate sneakers and skated circles around
the stunned singer while he and the band played on.

    McGuinn wraps up his first appearance at Fan Fair with a debut
performance at the Grand Ole Opry tonight again tomorrow.
