June 10, 1999 More news on Dr. Dre's new album courtesy of Dr. Dre/Aftermath Fan Page. It seems like the reunion of the NWA will not happen on this album, which is no surprise due to Dre's history of not wanting to reunite. Also, Dr. Dre's half brother Warren G does not appear on the album which is a surprise. Anyway, here is the add from The Source Magazine.

Also check out Snoop's interview from MTV.com where he talks about his next album, Snoopafly.

And in one more bit of news, Dr. Dre/Aftermath Fan Page has a review of Snoop's interview on the Howard Stern show where he discusses his future with Dr. Dre. VERY INTERESTING! Here it is.

- Snoop Dogg was on the Howard Stern Show this morning. I heard quite a bit of it and it was very entertaining. They spent a large majority of the interview talking about Snoop's constant smoking of "The Chronic". Snoop says he goes through about 30 joints a day. They also talked a lot about his life as a kid. They played a little of "Bitch Please", which will be the next single off Top Dogg. Another funny part of the show was when Robin Quivers, Howard's Co-Host asked Snoop if he was still down with Suge Knight. Snoop let out one of the funniest "Hell Nahs" that I have ever heard. In the studio with Snoop were Goldie Loc and Tray Dee, who are both on Snoop's record label. Robin also asked if Snoop was still with "Dr.Dre". Snoop said yes and they are currently working on a label deal???? A Label deal. This could get real interesting. Snoop kinda hushed up real quick after he said that, so he might have been told not to say anything. I don't know if a merger is in store with these two, but the more stuff they put out, the better. Snoop was also on Letterman last night, performing "Snoopafella".

June 2, 1999 Check out MP3.COM for some of Snoops new album. This comes after the huge deal between No Limit and MP3.com.

Also check out CDNow's version of the Wild Wild West Soundtrack and Amazon.com's version of the Wild Wild West Soundtrack and notice the difference in the Dre, Eminem track. Does anybody know which is the real listing?

May 31, 1999 Here's a small review of the new Snoop album that I just threw together. Let me know what you think, or send me your own reviews if you disagree and I'll put them up.

1. Pretty cool intro, nothing special like "Like we always do about this time" from the Doggystyle days.
2. Tight song - Grows on you the more you listen to it, wish Sticky Fingaz wood have rapped more and been more crazy. 4.5/5
3. Tha bomb - One of my two favourite songs on the CD. Silk E Fyne comes off great and I love Snoops' singing verse. 5/5
4. Blah - Pretty good rapping by Snoop, the song is too repetitive and the chorus sucks. 3/5
5. Funny intro
6. Cool - Interesting story that Snoop weaves well. 4/5
7. Boring - Borderline R&B type song that I'm not really feeling. 3/5
8. First single is tight, but it's too short and Snoop should come a little bit more rough. 4/5
9. Stupid no limit rappers, pretty cool beat, too repetitive 2.5/5
10. Decent Track - not much to say about it. 4/5
11. Disappointment - should have been way better! What happened to the Midnite Love sound? 2.5/5
12. Tha bomb - The best song on the CD!!! Every time I listen to it, it sounds better! Xzibit just rips it, Snoop is too cool, and Nate Dogg just makes you want to listen over and over! A classic track! 5/5
13. Pretty generic Quik produced song, nice to listen to, but gets boring after a while 3.5/5
14. Nice song that could have used someone other than Silk the Shocker. His flow really doesn't suit the track, but a tight song nonetheless. 4/5
15. Stupid No Limit! - Slow, boring, listened to it once. 3/5
16. Needs some DPG - Cool chorus, but it could have been better. 3.5/5
17. Nice song - Quik laces this track with some sweetness. Classic west coast beat. Love it! 5/5
18. The track grows on you like crazy! Snoop and Dre trade verses like the good old days and Jewell rips it up at the end. 5/5
19. This 213 reunion could have been better, while the rappers come off well, the track is lacking something. Nate Dogg does make his presence felt with the classic "It ain't no fun..." 4.5/5
20. Blah - This song needs some more creativity the production. 3.5/5
21. Awesome track, content doesn't really fit, but the production is sparkling. 5/5

May 26, 1999 Check out the Snoop interview at Lyricist magazine. It's a really in depth interview that goes into what Snoop has been doing lately.
W Dilly from the The G-Funk Webpage tells me that Eyez on the Prize is a compilation album that Snoop was featured on. He was on a song called "Game Trump Tight" with JT tha Bigga Figga.
A lot of people have been e-mailing me to tell me that the Dre, Snoop, and Eminem song doesn't work. I'm not sure why it's not downloading properly, but I'll get it fixed soon.
I've updated the links section by adding links to The Source Magazine, The Dogg Pound News Page, and Lyricist Magazine.
May 18, 1999 - Second Update Dr. Dre's album has been renamed to "The Chronic 2001". Does this mean that it will be pushed back? Who knows. Also, the Eminem and Dre track from the Wild Wild West soundtrack is called "Bad Guys Always Die". If anyone can get a hold of that MP3, let me know. My e-mail address is marko_213@yahoo.com
May 18, 1999 I got a hold of a track that looks like it came from Dre's Chronic 2000 album. It features Dre, Snoop, and Eminem. And the title is called Chronic 2000. I am unable to listen to it write now, so e-mail me, and give me some feed back.
In other news, Amazon.com has a new CD from Snoop Dogg listed called Eyez on the Prize. It's listed in the new and coming soon section. If anyone has heard of this CD, let me know.
May 12, 1999 First of all, it sucks to live in Canada. Top Dogg will not be release here until the 18th. I do have the album in MP3 format. It almost lives up to my expectations. The main thing it lacks is continuity. The songs don't lead well into each other. There will be a crappy No Limit produced song leading into a phat Quik or Dre produced song. Another thing is the lack of DPG. I'm sure Suge Knight had something to do with this. As for my rating of this album compared to Doggystyle, I give it a 7.5 out of 10. Compared to "Da Game" I give it a 30 out of 10.
