He knew there was something strange going on, but what, he did not know.  Was it a sense of danger?  Or was this just the side effect of what had happened to him.  On an impulse, he got up and started walking.  Then he started going faster and faster.  By the time he was close enough to a door that read secret, he began to run.  Faster he told himself, faster.   Adam couldn't understand his actions, but that was something he least cared about.  By the time he got to the door, he looked around to see if anyone was around him.  There was no one in sight.  Quickly he tried the knob, it didn't budge.  His hands quickly moved to a device next to the knob and started pushing in some code.  It was the strangest thing that he had ever seen happen.  Yet, he knew there was no time to think.  Turning the knob once again, he heard a click and the door opened.  He went inside and closed the door behind him while locking it on the inside.  Then looking up he saw that the room was filled with computers and wires.  Each computer was labeled and he sat down near one with the label "Profile".  Carefully, Adam turned the switches to put the computer on.  Its lights flickered for awhile, but it soon stopped when the screen went on.  The first thing he saw the screen show was:

                                      Password:______________________________
                                      ID:____________________________________
                                      Unit:____________________________________

Adam didn't know what to do, he didn't know any of this.  Getting ready to turn off the computer, he saw something green hidden behind it.  Reaching over to get it, he noticed that it was a sheet of paper.  Once Adam grabbed it, he opened it up.  After reading the contents, Adam smiled.  He couldn't believe his luck.  Someone must of written down all the codes and everything for the computers and left it hidden.  Adam typed down the needed information.  Then a list of names appeared with data next to it.  The information included height, birthdate, and what they did.  Adam typed down his name and clicked the button that said search.  The computer said there were no Adam's.  That's strange, he thought, but then again it wasn't.  Dr. Goodrich had told him that they would just call him Adam since he had forgotten his name.  Going to the last name section, Adam put down GOODRICH and a list of information appeared.  It said that Dr. Goodrich was 49 years old and mainly had info about what he did. He read on, learning that Dr. Goodrich worked for STONES COMP.  The name seemed familiar, so Adam grabbed a pencil by the case and wrote it down on the green sheet of paper.  He then continued reading about Dr. Goodrich.  He found out that Dr. Goodrich could get a person to remember certain things he wanted them to.  He did this by making them believe he was their friend.  What a rascal, Adam thought, the man was evil!
  Click.
Adam looked up, someone was trying to open the door.  Quickly he turned off the computer and put the green sheet of paper into his pocket.  He ran behind one of the desks in the dark corner of the room and went under it.  Hiding there, he could feel his heart pounding like crazy.  What if he got caught?  Would they notice someone else was here later on?
  Thump!  Thump!
Footsteps were approaching a computer only 15 feet away from him.
Then a voice said,"Well, it doesn't look like anyone's been here.  Maybe that lunatic got lost in the hallway.  I mean he forgot everything, so he wouldn't be smart enough to go in here."
"We can't take any chances.  If we lose him, we're dead.  The boss said we need the secret he knows about before we kill him off.  After all, he had all our codes down when he broke in three weeks ago.  You never know when his memory may come back." another voice said.
"Your right.  Dr. Goodrich better finish him up before I do it myself."
Then Adam heard more footsteps and the door closed.  He sighed, wiping the sweat off of his forehead.  He sat there for another thirty minutes, just waiting.  Then he heard the door open once again.
"He sure isn't in here because he would of come out."
With that, the door closed.  Adam knew they were going to check up and he was right.  He waited for another ten minutes and got up.  Then he walked up to the door, opened it, went out, and then closed the door.
Checking the hallway, he saw that it was empty.  He turned right and silently made his way towards his room.  He didn't know a way out, so it was better to act stupid.  He could tell them that he needed to go to the bathroom, but couldn't find it.
Just then he felt a hand on his shoulder.
  "I wouldn't move if I were you."
