Mercedes Lackey

Mercedes Lackey is my favorite author ever (running a close second is Anne McCaffrey). I'm currently working on writing a persona for the Misty fan club but unfortunately I've got exams coming up and my home PC is C**p (also my 2 year old daughter loves coming and "playing" with daddy when he's on the computer - basically making me say don't touch that, don't draw on that, and stop emptying out that drawer) therefore I only get 10 -20 minutes to think about it before I start work in the mornings.

Favorite book is of course the Last herald mage - Vanyel rules - although Lendel's suicide caused me a great deal of tears (not good when you're 14, reading at school, surrounded by 30 kids who are dying to make your life hell. (FYI I'm 23 now but whenever I re-read it, it still makes me teary)

I can't say that I've read the Diana Tregarde books (but I have read mistys comments about certain "fans") so I don't have any real comment except to say there are some really stupid people out there
