Markus Leminen's Official Page!

mlpost.jpg (13728 bytes)   To my Fans:

First of all I'm very thankful for this website, for giving the people interested in skating a chance to visit my site.  I've been so surprised I've had so many people to the site that it's obvious people are pulling for my skating. I find that super cool especially when I get to read the comments people leave in the guest book.  I find that very interesting.  It also teaches me what they like to see and what they like me to do.  That's the cool thing.   I find things I would never think about.  I'd really like to thank the fans for signing the guest book and for visiting my web site.  The comments I've heard from people and from what I've seen this site was really done well, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, Lisa for designing my Official web site.

And Updates on the Favorites Page

What inspires you?  I get a kick outta so many things, music, sports, skating

What is most important in life? To be happy (which he is)

What did you do for your last birthday?   I don’t think I did anything, I got back from Finland a day or two earlier so I was really tired, I probably watched the Leafs and they lost so nothing to celebrate.

What were you reactions to the controversy at Olympics?  Great, Finally something happened (good gossip)

What would be your advice to up and coming skaters just starting out competing?  Just to make a good plan and stick with the plan, try to work with good people that you trust and professional and if something goes wrong don’t change everything right away, give it some time.
Last film you saw at the show? Goldmember

Markus is featured in International Figure Skating Magazine.  This clip is in the online version of the magazine.  It gives great insight to what Markus has been up to.

Mariposa Charity Gala
Thursday, August 9rd, 2001

Barrie Molson Center, Barrie, Ontario
For a great review and a photo gallery of the gala go to Iskater.

I think Markus has improved, you know, steadily over the time frame that he's been training here and with him its a little bit different from other skaters is you're not trying to make him go faster and jump higher, with Markus you're trying to make him slow down and jump smaller ...because he tends to fly around at mach 5 and jump too big for the control we're looking for in triple jumps.  So it's a little bit different, we're always saying slow down, jump small, with most people here...speed up, jump higher."
