What's New with Markus

October 29, 2002:

I decided to start a 'What's New' page to let everyone know what has been going on in my life since I was born. Well I will let everyone know that I was at the hospital on Friday the 25th of October. I was running a 102 fever. The doc said it was an ear infection and gave me medication. Today I went to my pediatrician and she said that I am over my infection and she had the nurse give Today I went to my pediatrician and she said that I am over my infection and she had the nurse give me my six month shots. There were only two of them and they really hurt a lot, but I didn't cry. I just heald momma's hand. I am on a very good schedule, except that I really don't like to go to bed at night. Momma is trying to make me go to bed on my own, but I really don't like that and I usuallycry for at least a half an hour before someone comes to rock me to sleep. Well that is all for this month. November 29, 2002:

Hello all, it's time for an update again. I had a pretty cool Halloween. I didn't go trick-or-treating cause I can't exactly eat the candy. But I did go all over the city showing everyone my cute little costume and played with cousins. This month I haven't really done that much besides visit all kinds of friends and family. I am eating a lot and I am really growing now. I am 20 lbs and 28 in tall. I can really crawl, you should see me go down our hallway! I am pulling myself up on the furniture and occasionally I even try to take a step away from the furniture, but I usually fall down when I try, but I am not giving up. I do walk along the sofa and tables, and Nonna bought me a little activity walker that I push around and I just love walking around with that. For Thanksgiving Day, we went around to different family and friends houses. Momma even let me eat some of her dinner, and it was really good. Today I went and took pictures at Wal-Mart and they came out pretty good. They will be in in a few weeks and momma will put them on the site then. Well, I have been hearing a lot about something called Christmas and Momma and Nonna have been buying all kinds of stuff and putting it under a little tree in our living room and they say that someone called Santa Clause is going to be bringing me stuff so I can't wait for that. March 19, 2003:

Ok, Hi all. Sorry that it has been so long since I have written an update, but so much has been happening, Momma just doen't have the time. That guy, Santa Clause came and brought me all kind of stuff. Then, something called Mardi Gras happened. Mostly it was a bunch of people screaming and yelling, but I did like the pretty necklaces that I got. I have now started walking, which is what is keeping momma so busy. I still don't have any teeth, but I know they are going to come sooner or later. I am eating more solid food, or the stuff that momma eats. I just gum it til I can swallow it. I don't drink formula any more, just the regular milk as momma calls it. I only drink from a bottle once or twice a day, mostly I use my sippy cup. Momma puts all kind of good stuff in there. I will see you all when I can.

July 30, 2003:

A lot has been going on with me lately. I have had my first birthday and it was a ball. I am walking around very well and getting into everything. I now have four teeth and use them as much as I can. I do say some words, like Momma, Mimi (what I call Mommy), Daddy, and bye-bye. I have had all my shots up-to-date and I didn't even cry tears when I had them. Momma started college this summer and she is doing really well. I really miss her when she is at school, but I make her spend time with me when she gets home. I have learned to share very well with other kids and I am even really careful around kids that are younger and smaller than I am. I have been swimming a few times this summer and I am doing really good. I plan to swimming some more as soon as I get the chance. Well, that is all for now, if any one has any questions, just e-mail me and either Momma or I will answer them.
