We were told by the folks at the shelter that Feather is a Border Collie mix. She came in as a stray so they didn't know much about her. They think she was about a year old. She is playful and energetic, but best of all she was house trained!!! Her original shelter name was Jasmine, but another family adopted her and named her Feather Little Heart becasue of her feathery fur and a spot on her side that looks a little like a heart. The family that adopted her brought her back because the daughters thought they could train Feather to learn the boundaries of their unfenced yard before they went back to school so their elderly mother could let her in an out without her running away. They only had her about 2 weeks before they brought her back. Their loss is our gain. She got fixed the day we adopted her, so she was a little out of sorts when we brought her home, but she is quickly adapting. We have had Feather for over a year now and she is an awesome dog. She has a new sister, Duster, and while she plays with her, I do not think she is overly thrilled at having to share our attention with Duster.
