| [Monday, August 04, 2003 - 8:16pm PT] And so starts my rebirth of OJStrips. If you didn't already read the previous comments, I hated my first two comics. Instead of having to drag it on as it was, I decided to shove all that stuff into the rubbish bin and start again. Instead of having the comic only based on OJ himself, I thought it'd be more interesting (and stereotypical) for him to have a room mate or two. I was a bit unsure at first of his roommate(s). I wanted there to be a girl beacause there could be some funny scenes of differing gender opinions. However, I wanted a guy for OJ to share his videogame views, but I wanted him to be gay, so it'd be more interesting, and there's more options for humour. And thus was my dilemma: hot smart chick, or gay fun guy? As you can tell from the comic, I chose the gay fun guy. I wanted to leave it there because webcomics usually revolve around two basic main characters. Take Toastyfrog Webcomix, Penny-Arcade and Slackers for example, but I felt bad that I had to get rid of a gnarly female character that had so much potential. I dunno. There's plenty of time to change things around, so I thought I'd leave this for now and maybe ask my friends for their opinions later. Oh, some confusion around the "Rent: $60; avalable:2". I was trying to get at that's how much OJ's room mate would pay, so the whole rent would be $120. Sound more realistic? As for the available, I was meaning only two people could stay in the apartment, but if I decide to later add someone in, it'd work out. Heck, $180 a month sounds okay. So not much surrounding this comic itself. It's basically just an introduction to the characters of OJStrips. The XBox thing... well, it's just too easy to make fun of them.
