[Wednesday, August 06, 2003 - 10:09am PT] Welcome to the third Cameron Chronicles. Nothing that special here; this just concludes Cameron's adventures in Japan and of his ordeal with the production of Final Fantasy VIII. After posting this comic, some of my friends asked why the guy with the shades looked so much like Cameron, and if the resemblance was intentional. Well, it wasn't. Maybe I should have made him from scratch, but I just wanted to get this over and done with. I used Cameron's original sketch, added some facial hair and changed a few things. He wasn't given a name or anything because I wanted him to remain an anonymous director or high positioned staff that had to talk to Cameron. As I reflect back on the Cameron Chronicles, I found it was a good idea to build character development, but maybe I shouldn't have tried to build too soon. I was building upon impressions I already know of Cameron, while the readers are still getting used to this webcomic. Heck, this is only the tenth comic (eighth if you don't count those abominations of comics I first posted). What I also dwell on is the fact that this saga, if you can even call it that, isn't really that funny, or maybe even noteworthy. It's just here so you know more about Cameron. Rereading, now I feel somewhat empty, knowing that this is just spacefiller and won't really be pulled out for a good laugh. Hopefully I'll learn and use this towards my future pojects. -The Henrimeister |
