[Monday, August 11, 2003 - 10:31pm PT] I thought I'd make this comic a little more interesting and have the main topic of the conversation deal with reality. Well... this website to be specific. Although OJ, Cameron and Laura are just fictional characters (mostly) not based on any real people, I thought it might be fun to see how some might react should they know about and talk about the website they are currently featured on. To make it easier for the reader, but mostly for myself, I chose to pick Laura. Being the only female in an apartment among two other guys, I could quickly think of something which caused her grief. Upon further inspection of Laura's character, I thought I'd make here a fairly "normal" young woman with few quirks and a questionable short temper. Even better would be for her to have reoccuring problems of unwanted pictures of her posted to the public, via the internet. Oh how evil I am. On a somewhat unrelated topic, I have once again been somewhat, but not absolutely disappointed with my comics; I have found the repetative use of the same character images from panel to panel somewhat boring and with the conception of a lousy effort. Although some may argue it saves time and follows "the true form of a webcomic" i.e. frames being regurgitated over and over, I'd like to change things. Though (for the time being) you won't see any radical changes nor the characters looking different in every panel, I'd like to spend more time on my comics and make it look like "I'm trying". In this comic, I tried to have that "look into the screen" look in the first panel. Maybe in future comics, characters will have more dynamic facial expressions and body language, but don't get your hopes up, for my artistry is debatable and my time is not usually idle. And should I have idle time, I can easily forecast a lot of it will not be spent productively. -The Henrimeister |
